We spent the weekend shooting video for stock footage of Lutsen Mountains. While most of this is intended for projects next year, attached is a quick edit that shows how glorious a spring day at Lutsen can be. Temperatures spiked to a record 70 degrees in the Twin Cities, yet a few hours north and a world away we have ideal conditions for spring ski vacations. Highs near 40 and below freezing temps every night will bring us into April. With a base of 2’ to 4’ and plenty of snow stashed in reserve, daily operations through April 12th should be a breeze with a possibility for a few weekends beyond that.”

Shuttle service to the overflow parking lot

When I arrived at Lutsen Mountains around 10:30ish Saturday morning (January 30th 2016), I was surprised to see the parking lots that were close to the entrance were already full. I had to park in the “overflow” parking lot and take a free short shuttle ride to the main entrance.
