Another Minneapolis restaurant has moved east with Kyatchi’s second location. The menu is similar to the original location with responsibly sourced sushi, a little miso and ramen, plus a serious hot dog selection. The most fun difference is the addition of a full bar to the mix. This is the new hot spot for those that love Japanese whiskey.

By Jill Martin, CNN Updated 3:25 PM ET, Thu February 1, 2018 http://www.cnn.com
“..That’s because Brady, even though he grew up in California, says he’s “half Minnesotan.”
“I love coming back here,” Brady said in Minnesota this week. “I’ve got a lot of family here. It’s a great state. It’s pretty unbelievable to actually be playing here. I didn’t think about it at all until a couple weeks ago. I said, ‘Mom, you know where the Super Bowl is?’ She’s like, ‘Of course I do.'”

Brady’s mother, Galynn Brady, grew up in Browerville, a small town 135 miles away from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, home of Super Bowl LII. It’s a place Brady visited every summer, and sometimes in the winter, since he was a baby. It’s also where Brady’s parents got married in 1969…”

Snoop Dogg: I don’t never be nervous to perform onstage, but I was nervous onstage to perform at that — this is gospel, this is church. These people, boy they would shoot you down if your game ain’t together … they would throw the Bible at you … ‘I can’t believe he got up there and did … .’ I said, ‘Hold on now. Let me get my thing together.’ I shook that nervousness, though. … Donnie McClurkin (came) over to me when I finished performing, and he looked me into my eyes and said, ‘If you weren’t rapping, brother, you’d be preaching.’ I said, ‘My granny said the same thing!’ That’s cold when Donnie said it…”

“.Professional athletes, celebrities and Minnesota notables will be stopping by WCCO to try ice fishing on our rooftop.

For every fish caught, a donation will be made to ACES, a local organization that helps reduce the academic achievement gap in the Twin Cities through sports-themed academic programming.

You can’t have a real Minnesota ice fishing experience without real fish, but we wanted to make sure we did it right – so we went to the people in Minnesota who know fish the best.

It took a giant crane to hoist up a massive tank and two fish houses on top of the WCCO Studio. And to get the fish there, we turned to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources…”

Super Bowl visitors: Ditch extra winter gear here to help the homeless By: Kelly Smith February 03, 2018 – 9:20 PM m.startribune.com
“..While listening to a Texan describe buying heavy-duty winter boots just for the Super Bowl in Minnesota and not needing them after the big game, Killilea suddenly got a last-minute idea: start a collection drive so visitors returning to warmer-weather states will leave the spontaneous winter gear purchases behind for the local homeless…

While Eagles and Patriots fans hail from cold-weather states, they may not have all the extra winter gear Minnesotans are used to having to combat the cold. And many more Super Bowl visitors and wealthy travelers — the average asking price for a seat at Sunday’s game was $5,642 as of Friday — are from warm-weather places, taking in the NFL’s biggest game.

Come Monday, Killilea hopes those people stocking up on extra gloves and hats or free gear from companies will ditch those items to help the less fortunate, even lightening their suitcase for the flight home.

“We need to help our neighbors,” she said. “Hopefully this will have a bigger impact.”…
